From Salesforce to real estate: why I made the leap

After 20 years in tech, I traded dashboards for doorknobs. Here's the question that kept pulling me here.

I just did something that surprised everyone — including me.

I spent 20 years in tech, half in Boston and half in San Francisco. Most recently, that meant six and a half years at Salesforce and then two and a half at Globality, Inc., an AI startup right here in Palo Alto. I led growth, marketing, and GTM strategy.

On paper, it made complete sense to keep going.

But over time, I found myself asking a harder question: Do I want to keep optimizing systems, or do I want to do work that feels more personal?

What I realized surprised me.

The part I loved most was never the dashboards or the funnels. It was the people. Understanding what they care about, helping them navigate big decisions, and earning their trust when it matters most.

That realization kept pulling me toward real estate. Not because it’s easy or predictable. But because it’s deeply human. Every client has a story. Every home is tied to a life transition. And every decision carries real weight.

So I got licensed and joined Keller Williams Peninsula Estates.

Starting over, on purpose

I’m starting over in many ways. Learning, listening, and building from the ground up. I went from presenting pipeline metrics to making cold calls and touring open houses on weekends. The humility is real. (So is the excitement.)

But I also feel something I haven’t felt in a while. A genuine sense of energy, ownership, and purpose.

My path here runs through communities I’m deeply grateful for — Northwestern University Medill School, Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Salesforce, Globality, and the Peninsula itself.

To everyone who has been part of this journey: thank you. You shaped how I think, how I work, and how I show up for people.

Where I can help

If you know anyone thinking about buying or selling on the Peninsula, anyone who just moved to the Bay Area and needs to figure out where to land, or anyone who’s been asking ChatGPT “is now a good time to buy?” at midnight — send them my way. I’ll take great care of anyone you send me.

New chapter. Same obsession with doing the work right.
